This NBC12 field reporter thought a quick shot with a friendly camel would be easy. Sometimes the easy assignments turn into the more interesting ones. I like how the cameraman was able to keep filming and help her with one hand…and how she asked if he was still rolling. Anything for the shot, right?
Twitter Feed Word Cloud
by Ollie Adams on May 26, 2011 in Infograph, Twitter
I love me some word clouds. They’re a great quick way to show what people are talking about and can give you a good insight to what’s “hot” or “trending”. Neoformix has put together this awesome tool to show us just that for Twitter accounts. This is a fun a interesting way to see just [...]
Evolution of Storage
by Ollie Adams on May 25, 2011 in Infograph
Remember the simpler times, when your mailbox (your physical mailbox) was filled with AOL CDs and floppy disks? Oh those were the days. A 3 1/2 would hold 1.44 MB…oh man, imagine trying to use one of those now. Well here is an awesome chart showing the evolution of storage and how far we’ve come, [...]

by Ollie Adams on May 24, 2011 in Videos, World News
I’m a huge fan of the movie Catch Me If You Can about the con artist (and fugitive) Frank William Abagnale, Jr., who was played by Leonardo Dicaprio. I’m wondering when they’ll be making the movie of Bin Laden and who will be playing him. Well the folks over at Good Magazine have put together this [...]

by Ollie Adams on May 19, 2011 in Advertising, Videos, YouTube
For all the time, work, money and effort, Christopher Knight put into this great commercial, here’s hoping he got the position at Rockingham County School Board of Education. I guess it just goes to show you that when it comes to advertising (and most other things too), you get what you pay for.
Awesome Browser Statistics of Late
by Ollie Adams on May 18, 2011 in World Wide Web
This is an amazing interactive graph of most of the major browsers and their growing (or shrinking) influence from 2002 – 2009. I know it’s not giving you the data from current times, but this showcases how they came to be what they are now. Click through to see the cool concept by Axiis.

by Ollie Adams on May 17, 2011 in Television
With FOX News constantly getting lambasted for allegedly being biased and not necessarily telling the truth, they’ve started a new policy to be more honest. In one of their first forays down this road, they’ve added captions of exactly what the guest and host are saying…and here is a screencap of that. Looks just about [...]
